Begin Again
It’s the last weight loss journey update for June and for the next four weeks. Yep, I’m always switching it up.
I don’t want to make this updates repetitive so I’m switching to a monthly weight loss journey update instead of weekly. I’ll have more to talk about and more ways to help you on your journey as well.

You can always keep up to date with my weekly weigh ins every Wednesday on Instagram. I’ll still be posting those every week.

So, let’s get into some updates for the past week.

Food:

I’ve been keeping my food super simple this past week. Breakfast and lunches have been the same as usual. Dinners are of the simple flair.

The first half of the week was pasta. The last time I had pasta was a few weeks ago. That’s the same week that I gained weight.

I tried different types of pasta this time and it was good. Didn’t have any sort of digestive issues. Maybe I’m just super sensitive to whole wheat pasta.

The second half of the week was all about the slow cooker. Angela suggested a BBQ type meal. So, she settled on Slow Cooker BBQ chicken with baked beans and corn.

It turned out really well. There wasn’t a huge thought out recipe. It was a stir and dump whatever fits into the slow cooker.

Isn’t that how the best meals are made?

I didn’t have a “cheat meal” this week. I kept everything super simple and easy.

Workouts:

Workouts have been on autopilot. I do what needs to be done.

I wouldn’t say my workouts are boring but not all of them are fun. Sometimes I dread doing things like cardio. And that’s funny because I was all about that cardio life.

Strength training has taken over as my #1. But I know that I keep doing cardio. I may have to break out the bike or try some other form of cardio.

I want to love cardio again but for now, it ain’t fun.

Weigh In Day:

As usual, I just wanted to see a loss on the scale this week. I was hoping for 2 lbs as I do every week.

Stepped on the scale and lost 1.6 lbs. I’m completely ok with a loss. Downward trends are always welcomed.

I’m just a few pounds away from 200 lbs lost overall.

I sometimes wish the weight would come off faster than under 2 lbs a week but I have to remember to stay the course.

It’s a journey and I have to be patient.

The weight will come off. It has steadily for almost 6 months now. What I’m doing is definitely working.

I just have to keep working. Keep fighting and keep inspiring others to do the same on their journey. That’s what I’m here to do.

Until next month, stay the course and keep fighting for what you want.

What difficulties are you having in your weight loss journey so far? Any setbacks?
