Begin Again: Back On Track

Another week down. Another update to share.

Begin Again

This week had a holiday within in. I didn’t have big plans but I made sure I was on point with everything in regards to weight loss. I wanted to end the month of May off with a loss of weight. Did I accomplish it?

Food:

Food has been very basic this week. We ended the week with turkey spaghetti and started the second half with burgers and roasted potatoes for all our dinners.

I want to get a little more adventurous with my dinner but I completely didn’t plan. So, we winged it once again. Maybe next week, I can cook up something fancy.

Regardless, it was a holiday weekend. There wasn’t much cooking going on. We dined out for most of the lunches and dinners over the holiday weekend. I was really worried about sodium because my clothes felt tight for over a week.

I want to say it was because of the pasta we at the first half of the week. I’m not sure. Does anyone else have that problem digesting pasta?

I started to feel a little normal once we started eating burgers and potatoes. It’s a very weird theory.

Workouts:

Workouts have been somewhat the same. The only thing I changed was that I added an extra exercise to my strength training sessions to exhaust a particular muscle group of the week. This week was chest and back. I was super sore after those workouts.

I also dropped my Group Fight class temporarily. Don’t get me wrong, I like the class. It’s more of a schedule thing. I like to go to the gym right after work. Get a workout in and head home. I have to wait an hour for Group Fight and I’m just impatient with waiting to get a workout in.

I’m sure I’ll go back soon enough.

Weigh In Day:

I was hoping against all hope that I would lose at least 2 lbs this week. That would get me back under 300 lbs for the weigh in. I stepped on the scale and lost 3 lbs.

I’m weighing in at 298 lbs now. Super happy to be under 300 lbs again. I just want to continue dropping weight so I can work on maintaining.

Next week, I’m switching my workouts up again. I’m being back an old friend. Until then, I’m happy with the progress I’ve been making. I’m 6 lbs away from 200 lbs lost. That’s my next mini goal. It’ll be here before I know it.
