Happy Friday everyone!

I’m extremely happy for the weekend ahead. It’s my wife’s first Mother’s Day and I hope that she will have a great day on Sunday. Right now as of Thursday, I’m sick with a sore throat so I’m hoping to kick this crud out of my system before the weekend actually begins.

Otherwise, it’s been a good week and I wanted to share a few things that I’ve been enjoying for the past week.

Let’s get to it!

1. Logic’s “Everybody” Album

Untitled

I know that I’ve mentioned Logic before on this list but this one was really important for me to talk about. His new album, Everybody, was released last Friday and it’s one of his best albums yet.

I’ve been listening to it on repeat all week and it’s just an amazing album. This one felt really personal because it was all about him and the issues he’s faced!in his life. The album is also about a lot of the issues that we face today. Issues like race relations, suicide, social injustice, mental health, religion, politics and spirituality.

The album tells a story in the perspective of different people. It’s really well done and I can’t stop listening to it.

2. St Michael’s Mediterranean Festival

Every year, my city holds a Mediterranean Festival and I always miss it. Luckily, we were in town this time and got a chance to check it out. There was a lot of Greek food offered and I didn’t over do it.

I love Greek food and this festival was mostly about the food. We didn’t stay too long because it was hot. But we enjoyed what we did get to see, hear and eat.

3. Instagram

Untitled

Last month while I was blogging every day, I decided to really hone in on just a few social media platforms that I wanted to use. Previously, I was in almost all of them. That burned me out. So, I really honed in on just two: Instagram and Facebook.

Instagram is my favorite social network right now. I’ve always been drawn to photography and videography. So, Instagram is where I wanted to spend most of my time.

If you don’t follow me there, then you should. I can be reached here. I try to post often. Usually about what I’m eating and updates on my weight loss. It’s really an extension of the blog.

I’m not fully into the stories feature of Instagram yet, but I want to be.

Instagram is really a great community where you can have conversations about common interests. I love it there and I hope you will come join me there as well.

4. Silicon Valley

I can’t believe I’ve never talked about Silicon Valley on the blog. It’s one of those shows I was looking forward to come back late last month. It’s back and it’s funnier than ever.

Silicon Valley is a half hour comedy on HBO created by Mike Judge. He’s the brains behind programs like King of the Hill, Office Space and Beavis & Butthead.

The show centers around a group of guys that form a technology company in Silicon Valley. The show is all about the screwed up situations that this company gets into on their way to being a popular tech company.

It’s one of the smartest and funniest shows on tv right now. Watch it pronto!

5. Healthy Choice Meals

Untitled

An old friend returns.

I’ve been eating Lean Cuisine’s for a few months now and I just haven’t wanted to switch to anything else. We went to the grocery store and I saw that Healthy Choice was on sale so I decided it was time to have lunch with an old friend.

I think I burned myself out on Healthy Choice meals before because I never switch to anything else. I forgot how much I like the meals. It seems like more food for a little less of calories. My favorite is the Barbecue Steak and Potatoes.

Maybe I will switch back and forth. I don’t want to get tired of the same meal.

That’s all I have this week. Have a great weekend. And if you’re a mother, grandmother, godmother, etc then Happy Mother’s Day. I hope your day is special and please enjoy it. I will see you back here on Monday.
