Begin Again: So Close

This past week was a pretty good week.

I really focused on getting my food, workouts and mindset right. I was on a mission to get under 300 lbs this week. Did I make it?

Food:

Even though I ate out a few times more than in a usual week, I kept my calorie budget on track. I even tracked those higher calorie foods that I have on cheat meal.

I enjoyed going to The Mediterranean Festival on Saturday and even ate a little Greek food. Not too much. I didn’t want to over indulge.

We had turkey burgers for the week for dinner. It was a pretty spontaneous choice since we didn’t really do any recipe research for the week.

Workouts:

Workouts have basically been the same. I did add in jump rope the previous week but had to take a couple of days off. My left ankle started to bother me. You always have to listen to your body!

I started to feel a little low energy by weigh in day. I’ll talk about that in next week’s update. Otherwise, everything went well for my workouts.

Weigh In Wednesday:

This was the first time that I could weigh in on a Wednesday morning from the comfort of my own home.

It was such a nice convenience.

I woke up as I normally do and stepped on my scale. The scale read 301 lbs. I was so close to the 299s. I don’t plan on giving up. I really hope to hit 299 next week. It will be so nice to be out of the 300s for good.

It’s been a quick 4 months. I’ve enjoyed every bit of this journey. Hitting under 300 lbs is just one small goal out of many. I was so close to hitting 299 this week but I will definitely get it next week.
