You don’t know me but you will. I’m your future self. I’m writing to you from the year 2017.
On January 6, 2011, you’re going to start an amazing weight loss journey. You’re going to wake up that day and tackle your goal of finally losing the excess weight that is holding you down.
I will warn you that there will be some setbacks. But you’ll handle what ever comes your way.
I’m writing to you to tell you to never give up. You have so much life left in you. Your life will be something that you’ve never imagined.
You’re going to lose 300 lbs. Your wife, Angela, will lose 200 lbs. I’m not kidding with you. You’re going to lose the extra weight that has been holding you back. Also, you won’t be alone on this journey.
You’ll also start running. You won’t enjoy it at first but you’ll start to understand why you like it. Traveling all across the country with Angela will make running worth it.
You will also spread inspiration to those that want to lose the weight just like you did. You and Angela will be on TV, in magazines and in the newspaper. It won’t go to your head. You’ll be grateful and humbled for the exposure.
Look forward to traveling overseas to experience a new culture. You’ll like it but the language barrier will make you frustrated so start studying the language early.
Get ready to run along ancient architecture. I won’t spoil it for you but it will be so amazing!
Strength training will be a passion of yours. You won’t want to be the strongest person in the gym. You’ll just want to be the strongest version of yourself physically and mentally.
Lastly, you’ll gain the greatest gift of all: a child. When you see her for the first time, it will make anything else so much smaller. She will be the world to you and Angela. The end of your work days will be much more anticipated since you get to see her. You’ll also get a little less sleep but it’s worth it.
I’m writing this letter to you to let you know what you have to look forward to in the future. All of this starts when you wake up on January 6, 2011. Get ready because it’s going to be a worthwhile adventure.
I’ll see you soon!
