Five Things Friday #4

Welcome to Friday friends!

I haven’t written a Five Things Friday post in awhile so I figured why not start it back up again.

This week has moved by really fast. I’m looking forward to spending our first Easter with Baby G. Maybe even catching up on a little sleep.

For now, I want to share five things that I’ve been enjoying this week.

1. Logic

I had never heard of the artist Logic until I recently saw him on an episode of the AskGaryVee Show. I really liked his personality from just watching him on the show. So, I decided to check out his music on Spotify.

I really dig it.

It’s hip hop and it’s catchy. I haven’t listened to all of his albums but I’ve listened to his second album, The Incredible True Story, on repeat. It’s a concept album and I love albums that tell a full story.

His next album comes out in May so hopefully I can listen to all his albums before the new one comes out.

2. Mark Bell’s Slingshot/Hip Circle

I’ve had the Slingshot products for awhile but have never talked about them on the blog. I bought both the Slingshot and the Slingshot Hip Circle to help me out with my strength training in the gym.

The original Slingshot is for upper body movements like the Bench Press and push-ups. The Hip Circle is for legs and keeping your glutes active during movements.

I use both almost every session.

They are both great tools to add into your training. I have seen a significant increase in my lifts because I use these tools often. They have been well worth the money spent.

3. Iron Fist

I got around to watching Marvel’s Iron Fist super late. The show came out in March and I saw so much disgust for it. I was almost turned off from watching it.

I decided to watch it anyway and judge it for myself.

I will say that I really like a lot of the show. Sure, there are parts of the show that feel really flimsy and rushed. I understand that the show’s creative was working to push the show out before the introduction of the Marvel team up of The Defenders in August.

Maybe they should have waited longer to push out Netflix’s superhero team up and really build this origin story a little more.

I was really looking forward to watching it. I had high hopes for it.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the show. Most of the world had a different opinion than I did. Hopefully, the character is better portrayed in the team up show, The Defenders.

4. La Croix Sparkling Water

I’m horrible about getting water in on a daily basis. The first half of the day, I drink water with no problems.

The second half of the day is where I fall apart.

I bought a case of La Croix just to try something different. As I’ve said before, I’m pretty rigid with my habits.

I got the Cherry Lime flavor (I think?) and I hated it when I first tried it. Actually, Angela opened up the case and we were both going to try a can. I waited because I knew she would hate it. She did so I drank her can.

I hated it too but I’m starting to like it as I drink it this week.

It’s an acquired taste but I could get used to it.

5. Blogging Every Day In April

On March 31st, I decided to give myself a challenge of blogging everyday in April. I think I had maybe 2-3 blog posts written so I had to do some serious writing when I started it.

It’s April 14th and I’m still going strong.

I’ve found a rhythm for writing fast posts and getting them up by 7 am. I’ve only missed one post being up at 7 am. I had it up around 7:30 am.

So far so good.

It’s a challenge. It’s getting me to write every single day.

I’m not going to be sad when it’s over in May because it is a lot of work. (How do daily bloggers and vloggers do it?) But it has put me into a routine. I like it and I hope you’ve been liking the posts so far.
