Today is Easter Sunday. Happy Easter to you and your family.
It’s a holiday to get together with friends and family to celebrate a religious cornerstone.
I want to tell you to do one thing today: Enjoy your holiday.
You are on a weight loss journey. It is just that: a journey. You have to remember these special days that you have with your loved ones. You can’t be super strict about your regular regime on every holiday. You have to enjoy your day and these special moments with the people that you care about.
Let yourself have one day to just savor the memories that you are creating. You can have a sliver of cake if you really want it. You can have your grandmother’s famous pasta dish.
Enjoy yourself. But in moderation.
Have a little bit of everything for that meal. Then get right back on your journey afterwards. Get in the gym on Monday morning and kill it.
Don’t think that you have to be super rigid because you’re trying to lose weight.
Weight loss is a process and a journey. You’ll be on this journey for awhile. Moments with loved ones are precious. Don’t waste that time not going to Easter Sunday dinner because you can’t eat anything.
You can either eat some of the things at the get together or you can eat before you go. Whatever you choose to do is up to you.
You can’t be afraid of social gatherings. You need to interact. Time is so important because we can never get it back.
Build memories with your loved ones. Have fun. Enjoy yourself. Then get back on track.
Life is too short to be afraid. You only get one life to live. Live it fully.
